After you have created your custom fields you then need to edit the layout template to place these fields in the listing.

in mosDirectory admin console, click the configuration menu to expand it and then click Layout Templates, then edit the "View of the complete listing"

Then in the layout place tags like:

{custom_yourfieldname}

where you want the custom fields to display
